Promoting Physical Activity and Wellbeing in Primary Schools

Participants will gain a deeper understanding about the importance of physical activities and teamwork challenges for children’s wellbeing and learning experiences and outcomes. They will actively engage with a variety of indoor and outdoor physical activities and teamwork challenges that will enhance their teaching and children’s learning on their return to school.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the PE Curriculum and how they might enhance their implementation of PE in their class and in school. They will have opportunity to reflect on their own professional wellbeing and identify ways in which they can improve it. They will also reflect on The Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice and identify activities for improvement informed by the learning experience on this summer course.
- All courses qualify for EPV days providing participating teachers meet DES attendance criteria.
