When reviewing the planning for students with additional needs what should we look at?

How will we record progress that has been made and how will we build on previous targets to set new ones?

We will look very practically at this process in order to get the maximum benefit from our student support plans and plan as succinctly and easily as possible.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be enabled to:

  • Understand the purpose of reviewing Student Support Plans and the other stages of the continuum within the Continuum of Support model.
  • Identify key indicators of progress in relation to SMART targets, using both qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Gather and analyse relevant data to inform the review process.
  • Reflect on what worked well and why and identify any barriers that limited progress.
