The course participants will
- Develop an improved understanding of the basic physiology of the voice.
- Develop an enhanced understanding of the benefits of singing for positive wellbeing with reference to the Wellbeing Policy Statement and Looking at Our School 2022: A Quality Framework for Primary Schools and Special Schools document.
- Learn the skills to teach and lead children to enjoy singing in unison and in harmony with due regard for the elements of Music curriculum.
- Develop techniques to improve the quality and experience of the singers, giving opportunity for feelings to be expressed and creativity to be developed and expressed.
- Learn the logistics and develop the skills necessary to run a choir.
- Participants will gain experience in giving feedback to enhance the learning experience and outcomes.
- New songs and singing material for 2025 including Spanish and French songs that support introduction of MFL.
- All courses qualify for EPV days providing participating teachers meet DES attendance criteria.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- The centre reserves the right to cancel a course if sufficient bookings do not materialise.
