The True Meaning of Connection

The True Meaning of Connection

Date: 30th of April 2025

Time: 7pm

Location: Online via Zoom

Suitable for Primary and Post-Primary Teachers and SNA's.

Understand the true value of, and how to cultivate relationships in our fast-paced, technology intensive and increasingly distracting and lonely world.

In 2022 an EU wide study reported that Ireland is the loneliest country in the EU with 20 percent of those surveyed reporting they were lonely all or most of the time in the month prior to the survey. The EU average was 13 percent. Loneliness and isolation cause a host of other physical and mental health problems. In an era where we have never been seemingly more connected, why do so many feel isolated and unfulfilled?

During this session, Calodagh McCumiskey an accredited Master Practitioner in Wellbeing and coaching will help you understand "The True Meaning of Connection" and give you a new perspective on the value of relationships and how to cultivate them. This talk dives deep into the roots of meaningful connection, guiding you on how to build bonds that withstand the noise of modern life and support lasting fulfilment - with yourself, others and the world around you. Learn practical tools to cultivate relationships that bring support and happiness—even amid the distractions of our tech-heavy world. Whether you're looking to enrich your relationship with yourself and your loved ones, or bring more empathy and depth into your professional life, this session offers insights to restore meaningful connection in today’s increasingly disconnected and lonely world
