The Resilient Teacher: Approaches from Positive Psychology
‘Self-care is not selfish; you cannot serve from an empty vessel.’ - Eleanor Brownn
Teaching is a rewarding yet demanding role, so it is vital for teachers to focus on their own well-being and resilience on a personal level.
The field of Positive Psychology (the science of well-being and resilience) can provide teachers with many skills and strategies to help to develop the resilience in order to feel strong, replenished and equipped to face challenges. This webinar will outline the fields of Positive Psychology and resilience, as well as sharing 10 specific resilience skills which teachers can use to create their own ‘Resilience Tool Kit’.
